Welcome to my website where I like to write about my experiences living and traveling in a motorhome, places we visit, and things that interest me.

I write books under the name of T. A. Leinemann and I am very proud to list them here:

Arcadia Deception and its sequel, Flight Control, and Tess, all available on Amazon through links on my books page.

I am excited to announce that recently, my short story “When Nature Calls” won first prize in the prose segment of the 2019 Authors on Eighth writing contest in Dawson City, Yukon. Published in the Klondike Sun on October 16, 2019.

My short story, “Heart of Gold” earned an Honourable Mention at the 2018 Authors on Eighth writing contest and was published in the Klondike Sun on January 23, 2019.

The Author

In the spring of 2016,  My husband and I sold our home in Kelowna and bought a 37-foot Class A, Triple E motor home (for Excitement, Enthusiasm, and Enrichment).

We spend part of each year working and living in the Yukon Territory at a gold mining operation near the Alaskan border, complete with bears, panning for gold, and learning that adventure is in my blood.  My great-grandfather and great uncle had endured adversity and hardship as prospectors during the gold rush of 1898.

The year 2020 brings much of the same, and after another winter in the RV we are in the Yukon for another mining season.

I am mother to three accomplished young women who were encouraged to express their creativity and imagination throughout their childhood without too much interference from me, usually immersed in a book.

I didn’t start writing seriously until my early fifties when I gained a wealth of time for myself once the girls left the nest. I haven’t slowed down since, writing short stories and working on my latest book.

Writing is a solitary activity but when it comes to publishing and sharing my work, I greatly welcome and appreciate help from my friends and family. I have many talented and gifted people in my life who have contributed their time to help me bring my books into being and I am forever grateful.

Two of our daughters, Christina Knittel and Johanna Leinemann designed the covers of all of my books, Arcadia Deception, Flight Control, and Tess. I couldn’t be more proud of them and I am thrilled that each book is a family collaboration.

Andrea Magee of Amagee Photography graciously allowed the use of the author photo on the back covers.

My father, Robert, a talented wood carver, has been my biggest supporter with his excitement and enthusiasm toward my stories. He has helped with advice, proofreading, and promotion of my completed novels to friends and family.

My sister-in-law, Patty generously reads the first rough drafts and offers valuable advice and ideas on how to improve the stories which I welcome with a great deal of appreciation and love.

Send me a note, I’d be happy to answer your questions or get your feedback!
